Think about a topic that interests you. Google it, get some background information about the subject, talk about it with other people. Generate ideas in your head.
Still having a hard time generating ideas for a topic? There are two valuable databases at Marvel! Maine’s Virtual Library. They are Points of View Reference Center and Student Research databases: Go to Marvel!:
Click on “Teen Resources” on the left.
Click on Points of View Reference Center database:
Browse the different categories. Read the different view points of the topics that interest you. Use the subject terms found in the articles to conduct further research on your topic.

Use keywords and subject terms to locate articles about your topic.
